At a time when its appears all set and certain that the Congress will have electoral alliance with the RJD, lJP and the NCP in Bihar, the State Chief Minister and JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar on Tuesday said that Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s stand on the Ordinance on convicted lawmakers was a complete farce. Kumar also took on both the Congress party and the BJP for riots in country and the State as well.

“It was a farce and little more than a publicity stunt when he (Rahul Gandhi) tore up the Ordinance on convicted lawmakers at a Press conference last year while saying it complete nonsense,” said Nitish Kumar while adding that there was a huge difference between “what he (Rahul Gandhi) says and does”.

It is believed that the Bihar CM’s reaction was in reference of upcoming poll alliance between lalu Prasad, who recently has come out of Ranchi jail after being convicted in a fodder scam case, with the Congress party. RJD supremo lalu Prasad had recently met with both Rahul Gandhi and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi to finalise the modalities of the alliance.

“There is a difference between what he (Rahul Gandhi) says and does. The public understands all this and will not buy his clarification on his party’s alliance with the RJD in Bihar,” rued Nitish Kumar.
