Anand (Gujarat), Jul 26 (PTI) Congress leader Rahul Gandhi began his day-long visit to Gujarat on Saturday by addressing newly-elected district unit presidents of the party during a training camp in Anand.

Gandhi landed at Vadodara airport in the morning and proceeded directly to the venue where a three-day training camp for district Congress presidents is being held under the 'Sangathan Sujan Abhiyan' (campaign to strengthen the party organisation).

The Gujarat Congress stated that the camp, organised at a resort near Anand city, is aimed at building a strategic road map for Mission 2027, the party’s campaign for the next state assembly elections. The camp concludes on July 28.

Later in the day, around 3 pm, Gandhi is scheduled to meet leaders from the cooperative sector and dairy farmers who are members of various milk unions. This interaction comes against the backdrop of recent protests by dairy farmers in Himmatnagar over milk procurement prices.

The Congress party recently revamped its district-level leadership by appointing new presidents to all District Congress Committees in Gujarat to boost organisational strength ahead of the 2027 polls.
