Television actress Pratyusha Banerjee may have been pregnant and there is also a possibility that she had either undergone in for an abortion or her foetal cell had been damaged, before she committed suicide on April 1.
The twin revelations – that she may have been pregnant and that there was a premature death of her foetal cell before she committed suicide – came to the fore during the course of a medical examination conducted on the foetal tissues and uterus of the actress, by a team of doctors from the State-run JJ Hospital.
Informed police sources said that while it was more or less certain that she was pregnant and that she had either gone in for abortion or “due to some reasons” her foetal cell had been damaged, before she committed suicide – a fact that has figured in a report submitted to the police by a team of doctors that conducted the medical investigations.
On April 1, “Balika Badhu” fame Pratyusha (24) was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her seventh floor flat in Harmony residency building at Goregaon in north Mumbai, She was taken by her live-in boyfriend and TV producer Rahul Raj Singh to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital, where she was declared dead on admission later that evening.
