In times of darkness of bigotry and hatred here is a shining ray of hope. Popular Southern film star Prakash Raj has gifted a newly built house to a poor Muslim family as a gift on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. It was one of many noble deeds the actor, known for his villainous roles on screen, did in his adopted village Konda-reddypalli in Mahabubnagar district of Telangana.

Prakash Raj adopted the under developed village under the aegis of Prakash Raj Foundation more than a year ago for taking up development and welfare programs there.

The film star visited the village on the Eid day and handed over the house with a RCC roof to the family of Chhote Miyan.

Prakash Raj published the photos of the occasion on the Twitter.

“Celebrated Ramzan at #kondareddypalli by handing over home built for this family by #prakashrajfoundation... the joy of giving back to life”, he tweeted.

The house was built in place of the old and dilapidated home of the family.

Prakash Raj Foundation was working on various fronts to improve economic lot of the people of Kondareddipally including helping farmers by introducing modern technology. The Foundation was also working on several rural development projects in neighbouring Karanataka.

Prakash Raj is a popular actor in all the four major southern language films Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malaya-lam apart from Hindi.
