Maharashtra’s former Home Minister and senior NCP leader RR Patil, who suffered a cardiac arrest during the weekend, underwent an angiography at the Bombay Hospital and Medical Research Centre at the Marine lines here.
Fifty-seven-year Patil, who suffered a cardiac arrest at his residence on Saturday morning, was rushed to our hospital shortly afterwards. He underwent an angiography on Monday afternoon.
“We performed an angiography on him (Patil) yesterday afternoon. His angiography was clear. We did not find any blockages found in his arteries. His condition is stable now. He may be discharged either tonight or tomorrow,” Dr BK Goyal, Honorary Dean and Chief Cardiologist of Bombay Hospital, told The Pioneer here on Tuesday.
The latest was the second occasion during the last fortnight when he was hospitalised. Earlier on November 23, Patil had been admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital, where he underwent a dental surgery. A five-time MlA from Tasgaon-Kavathe Mahankal constituency in Sangli district of Western Maharashtra, Patil was the Deputy CM of Maharashtra for four years between November 1 2004 to December 1, 2008.
