The Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS), which is leading the OBC quota agitation of the Patel community, on Wednesday launched its ‘Ekta Yatra’ (solidarity march) from Umiyadham at Sidsar.
“The Yatra was flagged off at Kadva patels’ religious place, Umiyadham, and would end at leuva Patels’ religious place Khodal Dham at Kagvad,” said laleet Vasoya, Saurashtra region convener of PAAS.
“The 33-day-long Yatra will cover 11 districts, 56 tehsils and 1,440 towns of Saurashtra,” Vasoya said. BJP MlA from Dhari Nalin Kotadiya, who supported the Patels’ demand for reservation, was present on the occasion.
