Entire Opposition including former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav termed the second Budget of the Yogi Adityanath Government as anti-people having nothing knew for the welfare of poor, farmers, youths etc.

“The Budget had nothing but a concentrated efforts of the Yogi’s Government to misguide the people by presenting the old welfare schemes in new names”, alleged Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav while terming the Budget as anti-farmers, anti-poor, anti-youths etc. Yadav said that the crime against the members of the fairer sex is on rise and the UP police is busy in fake encounters but still there in no new provision in the budget to facilitate security for the women and girls. “It is better that the Yogi Government should first present the utilisation of the previous Budget instead of presenting a bundle of lies just to cheat the people of the State in the next Parliament elections”, Yadav asserted while claiming that the Budget was just presented with next elections in mind.

He claimed that the tall claims of Start-Up, Ease of India Business, Investors Summit etc, are just to cheat the youths as the Government had no plan to facilitate employment.

Samajwadi Party spokesperson Rajendra Choudhury also claimed that after around one year in Government, the BJP’s second Budget was total anti-people. “like the Central Budget, the UP Budget too lacked any move to provide any benefit to the people,” he said while alleged that the proposals will lead the State into negative growth.

Congress spokesperson Amarnath Agarwal, in a statement here said that the budget did not say anything on the debt on the Government which has now surpassed the total Budget of the State. “The agriculture, health, education and social sectors were totally ignored in the Budget and the Budget papers were totally a bundle of lies,” he stated adding that the performance of the Government is evident from the fact that they could not even utilise the Budget of the last year so far.

Rashtriya lok Dal(RlD) has alleged that the State Budget has once again ditched the people of the State as it has nothing for the farmers and others. RlD national media in-charge Anil Dubey said that western UP has totally ignored in the Budget and it is a joke that  the Government has just sanctioned Rs 110 crore for the unemployed youths, where the total jobless youths number is around 3 crore.

Meanwhile the Bharatiya Janata Party hailed the Budget claiming that it will further push the pace of development in the State. BJP State general secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak in a statement here said that the Budget gave its focus on the farmers and youths besides it fulfills the aspiration of the common masses.
