When a voice rises from Aligarh, a city of lock and education, it goes very far and when an issue is raised from the student’s platform then it will surely make a headline. Something similar happened on 12th December 2019, after Dr. Kafeel Khan's speech at Baab-e-Syed gate of AMU.
His provocative speech shook the administration and the government. Special Task Force was assigned to arrest Dr. Kafeel and on 29th January 2020, STF arrested him from Mumbai airport. NSA has been slapped on him which caused a political stir.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also wrote a letter to the Chief Minister in the favor of Dr. Kafeel Khan. Now after the High Court order, the entire opposition is putting the government in the dock.
On 12th December 2019, Dr. Kafeel Khan gave a speech in AMU against the Citizenship Amendment Act, in which his tongue slipped away and without taking the name of the Home Minister, he said that Mota Bhai is teaching everybody to become Hindu or Muslim but he is not teaching to become a human being. It is a fight for our existence, we must fight. Students must ignite the torch of this battle.
The next day, a case was filed against Dr. Kafeel Khan at the Civil Line Police Station. That time, the administration was not taken Dr. Kafeel seriously, but after the ruckus on the campus on the night of 15th December, the administration started searching for Dr. Kafeel.
RDA celebrates Dr. Kafeel’s victory by distributing sweets:
On the release order of Dr. Kafeel by the High Court, Resident Doctors Association (RDA) of JNMC has distributed the sweets. RDA president Mr. Hamza Malik said that the High Court verdict has come in favor of Dr. Kafeel Khan.
End of dictatorship:
Former President of AMU Student Union, Faizul Hasan has called the High Court verdict a victory for truth. It is said that the truth cannot be defeated. Dr. Kafeel was jailed for protesting CAA and NRC. Court ended dictatorship by giving a verdict in favor of Dr. Kafeel.
Congress leader Agha Younus said that this decision hurts the government's pride and ego. Social activist Nutan Thakur said that officers who charged him under NSA should be suspended and compensation of 1 crore should be given to Dr. Kafeel. SP leader Rubina Khanam also expressed happiness.
