Nitish slams 'petty politics' of BJP, RJD

Reiterating that both BJP  and the RJD have entered into an “undeclared” alliance in their bid to corner his Government, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the Opposition should not test his patience and try to execute their “conspiracy in the State out of frustration”.

Nitish was addressing JD(U) leaders and workers of eight lS constituencies at his official residence on Monday. He said that it was very unfortunate that the Opposition parties were found even indulging in petty politics on the death of innocent children, who had consumed mid-day meal at a Government school in Saran district. Suspecting conspiracy behind the tragedy, the CM said that the Opposition parties could attempt to destabilise the State for political gains.

The way both the BJP and the RJD launched agitation simultaneously after the Bodh Gaya serial bomb blasts and the Chhapra midday meal tragedy, it is proved that that they have entered into some sort of alliance both directly and indirectly.

Nitish Kumar said that he had faced such testing times in his political career in the past too but had successfully crossed all hurdles with the support of his party leaders, workers and common people. “I will pass the test this time too,” he remarked.

He also claimed that he will work round-the-clock for ensuring full protection to the State from all evil forces. “I am ready to even keep myself awake if it is required for the safety of the State,” he remarked.

The BJP was trying to push Bihar towards fundamentalism, thus betraying the mandate given to the NDA by the electorate in the 2010 State Assembly election, he noted.

The NDA returned to  power for the development of Bihar, and not for pursuing any agenda of fundamentalism. Party leaders and workers of parliamentary constituencies of Valmikinagar, West Champaran, East Champaran, Sheohar, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Jhanjharpur and Supaul were present in the meeting.

State JD (U) president Vashishtha Narayan Singh, State JD(U) Ministers, MPs, MlAs. MlCs, District and Block president of the party, chiefs of the JD (U)’s various cells and also the party candidates of the eight constituencies in the 2010 lok Sabha election took part in the meeting.

The JD (U) will hold political rallies in all 243 Assembly constituencies of the State from August. The rallies will be organised in these constituencies from Wednesday to Sunday of every week.
