7-yr-old girl molested
New Delhi: A seven-year-old girl was allegedly molested in north Delhi's Wazirabad area by her neighbour. Police said that they have arrested the accused while he was trying to flee away to his hometown in Bihar. According to Sagar Singh Kalsi, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), North district, an incident was reported to them Tuesday around 9 PM about a child's molestation in the Wazirabad area.
21-yr-old arrested for raping minor
New Delhi: Delhi Police has arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly raping a minor girl in southeast Delhi's Badarpur area.Police said that the accused, a casual labourer, and the 8-year-old minor's family shared a two room rented accommodation.The incident happened on Tuesday when the minor was home alone. The accused took her to a room and allegedly raped her and the accused is a drug addict, police said.
kejriwal to hold roadshows in rajinder nagar
New Delhi: The Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will hold roadshows for three consecutive days in the Rajinder Nagar constituency starting from Friday to campaign for AAP candidate Durgesh Pathak, a member of the party's national executive and political affairs committee in the by-polls. 2 suspected beef smugglers arrested
Noida: Two suspected beef smugglers from western Uttar Pradesh were arrested near the Delhi border after a gunfight with the Noida police on Thursday morning. This was the third incident of a gunfight between police and suspected beef smugglers since Tuesday, when four men were arrested and around 1,500 kg of the banned bovine meat was recovered in the city.
DU organises yoga week from june 21
New Delhi: In order to mark the 8th International Day of Yoga, the Delhi University on Thursday said that a yoga week will be organised from June 21, officials said. A yoga camp-cum lecture will also be organised on June 22 where 1500 people will perform various asanas. "The university is organising a Yoga week from June 21 to 27. A yoga camp-cum-lecture will also be organised on June 22 as part of it," said DU registrar Vikas Gupta.
3-yr-old dies in house collapse in paharganj
New Delhi: A three year-old boy died while his two sisters and father were rescued after a house collapsed in Paharganj area, Fire department said that a call was received at 8:40 PM regarding the house collapse following which seven fire tenders were rushed to the site. “So far one child, two girls and their father were rescued from collapsed structures at Paharganj,” said the fire department.
BMW driver held for running over 2 kids
New Delhi: A 27-year-old man was arrested for allegedly ramming his speeding BMW car into another vehicle and killing two kids sleeping on sidewalk and injuring eight others in southeast Delhi. The accused has been identified as Sahil Narang, a resident of Nirman Vihar, they said.
He runs a garment manufacturing business in Noida, police said. The incident occurred on June 10.
