After much struggle the Bharatiya Janata Party has identified the rally ground where party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi would address Vijay Shankhanaad Rally in Varanasi on December 20. The rally would now be held at Khajuri in Raj Talab, which is 8 km from Varanasi.
This would be the fifth of the series of nine rallies to be addressed by Modi. He had earlier held rallies in Kanpur, Bahraich, Jhansi and Agra.
“It is now official that Modi’s rally would be held in Khajuri. This is a big ground that could accommodate over five lakh people who are expected to attend this rally,” BJP’s spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said here on Thursday.
There was much confusion about Varanasi rally as party leaders were not able to identify the rally ground. Usually rallies in Varanasi are held in Benia Bagh but BJP leaders ruled it out because it was a small ground.
