In what appears to be a warm up exercise ahead of Assembly polls, former CM and leader of Opposition Arjun Munda met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday and invited him to Jharkhand. The PM, said Munda, has accepted the invitation and has said that he would soon visit the State.

The former CM apprised the PM of the burning issues of Jharkhand and said that the state needed a stable government for overall development of the State.

"Apart from political discussions, issues like the blueprint for long-term plans, holistic developments and the way ahead for a detailed roadmap for coming years were discussed with the Prime Minister in the brief meeting," Munda said over phone from Delhi.

The senior BJP leader on Wednesday also congratulated newly elected BJP national president Amit Shah terming him a person with extraordinary organising skills. Munda said that the organisational strength of the party would increase manifolds in the leadership of Shah. He also said that Jharkhand has lots of aspirations and hopes from the new party president.

State BJP unit also expressed its happiness and congratulated the new president, while former Deputy CM Raghuwar Das attended the formal ceremony in Delhi. "The youths of the nation are enthusiastic for strengthening the organisation in the leadership of Shah. The party organisation will become stronger in Shah's leadership just like it made history in the lok Sabha polls," Das said.

Meanwhile, enthusiastic leaders and workers of the State BJP celebrated Shah's coronation by distributing sweets in the state BJP office. Congratulating the national president, State party head Ravindra Rai said that Shah was an excellent organizer, whose skills made the party win 77 seats in Uttar Pradesh in the lok Sabha polls. "In his leadership and direction the regional parties and the Congress will be decimated in the upcoming polls and BJP will come with full majority in the State," Rai said.
