Mulayam's kin beats up Etawah doc, no FIR yet

PNS

In another embarrassment to the Akhilesh Yadav Government, Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav’s brother-in-law Ajayant Singh Yadav reportedly thrashed the Medical Superintendent of Etawah on Monday evening over a minor altercation in his native district Etawah.

President awardee principal Ajayant and his men beat up his neighbour doctor Pawan Pratap Singh over a petty issue of parking the vehicle. They thrashed the doctor and even damaged his car. The doctor told reporters that a mere argument over parking of the vehicle led to the dispute.

“I have been staying in the house for the past three years and had good relationship with  Ajayant. But suddenly, I could not understand what happened to the Principal for such outburst,’’ he said. Doctors attending the victim said he had sustained injuries but was not so serious.

The police, however, are yet to register an FIR against Ajayant and his men. Opposition parties had questioned the act of the kin of the ruling Samajwadi Party and the role of the Etawah Police.

BJP spokesperson Vijay Bahadur Pathak here alleged that such incident was not new for this SP Government and now the family members of the SP president and the CM were creating much trouble for the common people. “Police should act and arrest the brother-in-law of the SP president for thrashing the doctor otherwise it will mean that they are biased,’’ he demanded.

Reacting to the incident, spokesman of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) Virendra Madan said that when Mulayam Singh Yadav himself confessed that act of Samajwadi Party leaders is bringing bad name for the entire Party so now beating of a doctor by his relative is just an addition to those misconduct of his associates and kin. He claimed that now only people could teach them lesson by correcting their mistakes done in last Assembly elections and not voting again for the party in next Parliament elections.
