MSY threatens dissociation if SP joins Mahagathbandhan

Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav warned that he would dissociate himself with the party if it enters into an alliance with any party or joins the Mahagathbandhan ahead of the lok Sabha polls in 2019.

Mulayam said the Samajwadi Party lost the last Assembly elections only due its alliance with the Congress which proved to be disasterous. He was in Ghaziabad on Wednesday and said that the party would do better if it goes alone in the next Parliamentary elections.

Mulayam said the SP has gained in strength since its inception in November 1992. “The SP contested the 2012 Assembly elections and attained a majority to form Government on its own. The party could have repeated its performance in 2017 Assembly poll had we not forged alliance with the Congress,’’ opined Mulayam.
