Nearly 600 Ex-services men and women who had assembled at the Madras Regimental Centre on Thursday and Friday returned home happy as all their grievances were resolved by the officers and men of the age-old Army Establishment atop the scenic Blue Mountains.
Those hailing from various districts of Tamil Nadu reached the command office of MRC Wellington, were given whatever official documents they needed for availing various facilities from the State and Central Governments. The documents included digital life certificate and aadhaar car updating. “The two-day event titled SPARSH outreach programe is a way of telling the soldiers, veer naaris and widows that the Services care for them throughout their lives,” said a spokesman of MRC Wellington.
