Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday  announced a scheme to impart skills to the youth. “The Government is making efforts for employment— the process of recruitment for one lakh posts is going on. Our efforts for self-employment continue unabated,” he said.

Employment Day is organised every month in the State. “It is our resolve the youth will not be left unemployed. For this, a new scheme is being implemented to teach skills to the youth,” Chouhan  said.

The youth will also get paid along with learning the skill. Companies and service sector will be linked for skill training. “Unemployment allowance is redundant. The new scheme will give wings to the youth by enhancing their ability, so that they can fly high in the open sky and they get new opportunities, progress and development,” he said.

Under the scheme, the registration of establishments giving training to youth will start from June 7 and the registration of youth willing to learn work will start from June 15 and the placement will start from July 15. From July 31, the contract will be processed between the establishment that gives the training and the State Government.

The youth will start working from August 1. “This revolutionary scheme will teach the youth to stand on their own feet instead of walking on crutches,” Chouhan  said.
