Miscreants fire in Etawah court to free undertrials

PNS

Panic gripped the district court in Etawah on Friday  when unidentified miscreants opened fire to ensure the release of two undertrials facing murder charges. The miscreants also threw chilli powder on policemen escorting the criminals. While one of the undertrials managed to escape, some lawyers responded to the cops cries for help and nabbed the second one and handed him over to the police. A case was registered and teams were formed to nab the criminal and his aides. As per reports, while Surendra and his brother Jitendra, both lodged in Etawah District Jail were being taken to a local court for hearing, their cohorts threw chilli powder at the cops and later opened fire in the air to terrorise the crowd.

The gunmen managed to free both undertrials and jumped over the court boundary to flee. However some lawyers chased them and managed to nab one undertrial, Surendra, and hand him over to the cops.
