Gujarat BJP president Vijay Rupani, who is also senior Minister in the Anandiben Patel Government, said that Jains are party of majority community, but there are some anti-Hindu forces, who want to divide Hindus.
Rupani, a Jain, was addressing a programme organised by Minority Development Trust and obviously training his guns on opposition Congress party.
The Gujarat BJP chief claimed that the Jain community didn’t want minority status, but ahead of the 2014 lok Sabha polls the Congress-ruled Government, with an intention to get votes, had granted minority status to the community.
