Ridiculing former Chief Minister Mayawati ruling Samajwadi Party has charged Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president of having a forked tongue and misleading people.
"On one hand, Mayawati has announced to keep her birthday celebration a low-key affair on the backdrop of the Muzaffarnagar riots, while on the other hand, she is spending crores on the proposed rally to be held in State capital on Wednesday," SP State unit spokesman, Rajendra Chaudhary said on Tuesday.
Moreover, the BSP chief has announced that she would celebrate her birthday with her family in Delhi on January 25. Thus, her statement of celebrating birthday on the low key is just an eye-wash," he said. SP spokesman said the BSP leaders concern is just to win the sympathy of the riot victims and grab headlines.
The truth is, people are satisfied with the development schemes launched by Akhilesh Government and people are aware of the extortions being carried out on the name of Mayawati’s birthday, he said.
The SP leader said the trend of extorting money on the name of Mayawati's birthday still continues. She has asked her party’s MPs to give `5 lakh and legislators `2 lakh as chanda for her birthday. From where these elected members will get money. They will fleece the common man on the street, Chaudhry who is also cabinet rank minister in Akhilesh Yadav Government said.
The people of the state are lucky because they are free from Mayawati's loot-raj in the current stint of the SP.
There is no pressure on them. , he stated.
