A minor girl was allegedly raped by a married man who later thrashed her brutally and dumped her in bushes in Anand Parbat area of central Delhi. The accused identified as Vivek who was married and had two children was arrested by police for allegedly rapin the 16 year old girl and assaulting her, said a police officer.
Police said that the accused who lived with his family at Kathputli Colony in Anand Parbat area was neighbour of the victim and had made physical relationships with her on the promise of marriage about two years ago. The accused allegedly called the girl near Sarai Rohiila area last week and took her to nearby bushes. When he forced himself on her, the girl protested raising the issue of marriage, said the police officer. The accused allegedly thrashed her on her protest and left her in the bushes where she was spotted lying unconscious by a passerby who informed the police. She was admitted to RMl hospital where she regained consciousness after three days, he said. The statement of the victim was recorded and the accused was later arrested.
