The Intelligence Bureau has alerted the security agencies about the threat perception from Maoists to Union Minister Giriraj Singh and TMC leader Mukul Roy.

The alerts issued few days ago to Bihar and West

Bengal Governments urged them to tighten the security to both leaders.

“CPI(Maoist) plans to target Mukul Roy and Giriraj Singh. The outfit accuses Mukul Roy for this alleged role in the killing of Koteswar Rao @ Kishanji, the Politburo member. Giriraj Singh isbeing targeted for allegedly pursuing anti-Dalit and anti-minority agenda in Bihar and elsewhere in the country.

“Possibility of Giriraj Singh being targeted during the ensuing poll rallies in Bihar cannot be ruled out,” said the Intelligence Bureau alert urging for tight security arrangements to both leaders.

Reacting to the Intelligence Bureau alert, Singh accused Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of not being “serious” on security and said the State “Government can plot” his killing. “Nitish is not looking serious about anyone’s security...be it me or people of Bihar...his Government can plot my killing,” he tweeted.
