Former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Sunday vacated the Chief Minister's official residence at 1, Anne Marg where he had been putting up for almost a year.
Manjhi who resigned as CM on February 20 continued occupying this address and vacated exactly after the four months after demitting the office. Sources said Manjhi had decided to move out about a week back but stayed back to observe yoga on International Yoga Day. “The telephone lines had been disconnected at Anne Marg where Manjhi was living. He was provided no facility," said a Manjhi loyalist legislator.
Recently there had been a controversy when security personnel were deputed to protect the litchi and Mangoes so that Manjhi and his kin should not pluck the fruits.
The former CM has moved to his flat in which he had been staying before being elevated as CM.
