The Delhi Police has launched a manhunt to apprehend the five juveniles who have fled from an observation home in North-West Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar area.

“The authorities of the juvenile centre had sent a letter informing about the incident. Efforts are being made to nab the five juvenile offenders,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-West) N Gnana Sambandhan. According to police, the five boys escaped Kingsway Camp facility on Wednesday night.

These five boys were among the 10 inmates who were recently shifted from a similar observation home in Majnu Ka Tila after they created ruckus on August 8. These juvenile homes are run by Women and Child Development department of the Delhi Government.

“We have informed police, we are determined to bring them (juveniles) back,” said an official of Women and Child Development department.
