Slamming her Haryana counterpart Manoharlal Khattar for making “deplorable” remarks against Kashmiri women Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday said the BJP leader’s statement was not only painful and unfortunate for the women of Kashmir but also the women of the entire country.
Deploring Haryana Chief Minister’s alleged sexist remarks Banerjee tweeted, “we, and more so people holding high public office, must restrain ourselves from making insensitive comments about the beloved people of Jammu and Kashmir. These are hurtful, not only for J&K, but the entire nation.”
