Mamata likens Modi, Shah to Duryodhan, Dushasan

Two autocrats in form of Duryodhan and Dushasan had been impeding the Indian democracy and it seems if the duo return to power after the general elections, the same “fall” of democracy will occur. This was stated by Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday without naming Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah.

“There is a person (read Modi) who sends out 560 lies baring his 56 inches’ chest. This person is as spurious as Ravana. But then even Ravana had his end,” Banerjee told a huge rally at Coochbehar wondering how instead of placing the account his own performance, the Prime Minister was asking her to explain her deeds.

“Look at his audacity. Instead of seeking votes on his performance of the past five years, he is asking me to explain my conduct,” Banerjee said.

It was like “vinash kaaley viprit buddhi (destruction dark contrast wit)” for the Prime Minister who was running a “Hitler-like fascist Government.” The Prime Minister was “arrogant, autocratic, dictatorial with no regard for democratic principles,” Banerjee said alleging how the PMO and the central agencies were acting at his directions by victimising the opposition leaders.

“They are sending central agencies like ED, CBI and Income Tax to raid the houses of those raise their voices against them. But I am a different mettle. I will not cow down in the face of such measures. I will continue to fight,” she said comparing the Modi and BJP president Amit Shah with Duryodhan and Dushyashan — the two evils personified in grand epic of Mahabharata.

“These two Duryodhan and Dushasan are destroying Indian democracy,” she said asking “where is the 2 crore job you had promised Modi Babu?” Instead of creating 2 crore jobs “you have snatched 2 crore employments from the people. Did the people vote for you for this?”
