The details of contributions submitted by political parties to the Election Commission reveal that major parties like the BJP and the Congress have not even provided the figure of total contribution received during the financial year 2015-16. The details uploaded up to December 7 in the EC’s website say, its officials are still calculating.
Among the seven national parties, only CPI(M) and the NCP have given the total figure to the EC. The CPI(M) declared that its total contribution received during 2015-16 financial year was only Rs1,81,22,00 and the NCP declared Rs71,38,819 only.
