Accompanied by BJP’s national president Amit Shah, NDA’s presidential candidate Ramnath Kovind will visit Gujarat on Saturday and hold a meeting with local MlAs and MPs in Gandhinagar in Shah’s presence.
In fact Kovind and Shah were scheduled to visit the State on Tuesday but due to terror attack on Amarnath pilgrims in Jammu & Kashmir both the leaders decided to cancel their visit. Shah was to address two major gatherings.
On Saturday, Shah will not address these events and only attend meeting with Kovind. Meanwhile, sources said Kovind and Shah will arrive at Ahmedabad airport around 5 pm, where they will be given grand welcome. They will meet MPs and MlAs at Swarnim Sankul building.
‘‘Though victory is definite for Kovind, his Gujarat visit would become memorable for everyone,’’ said the State BJP chief Jitu Vaghani.
