Poll bound Karnataka is witnessing massive outbreak of war of words between ruling Congress and the major Opposition BJP. The war has escalated on Wednesday by State BJP chief BS Yeddyurappa sarcastically called  47-year-old Congress president Rahul Gandhi a bachcha, the kid. lingayat strongman also said his party will win 150 seats to make Congress-mukt Karnataka.

Addressing a meeting of the party workers on social media at Udupi in coastal Karnataka  on Wednesday former Chief Minister who has been projected as the next Chief Minister of the State said, “They (Congress) have brought a bachcha (Rahul Gandhi) in Karnataka. Now, we are sure of winning more than 150 seats here,” and said his (Rahul Gandhi) campaign in  the State will hurt the Congress’ prospects.

The poll bound Karnataka is crucial for both the parties. It has become a litmus test for Rahul Gandhi who has to prove that his new found Hindutav theory would work in Karnataka. He is campaigning vigoursly and coming to state for the second time in a month.

last week, Yeddyurappa had hit out at Rahul Gandhi for reportedly visiting a temple after eating “Javari chicken” during his tour of northern parts of the poll-bound state. BJP president Amit Shah is campaigning in the coastal districts to wrest the power from the Congress. Rahul Gandhi is resuming his campaign from February 24 in Mumbai Karnataka region.

Few days back  Yeddyurappa had mocked Rahul Gandhi by calling him an “ election Hindu ”. He had said then as well that arrival of Rahul Gandhi in Karnataka will only bring good fortunes for the saffron party. He further said that Rahul Gandhi's campaign in Karnataka will only fulfil BJP's dream of a "Congress Mukt Karnataka".

"I heartily welcome #ElectionHindu @OfficeOfRG to Ballari. The #Congress President will fulfil our dream of #CongressMuktKarnataka," Yeddyurappa had posted on microblogging site Twitter.

Stating that Congress has faced huge setbacks and BJP has won wherever Rahul Gandhi has campaigned in the past, BSY said, "His arrival is like arrival of good fortune for BJP."

Meanwhile Chief Minister Siddaramaiah replying to PM Modi’s recent attack in Mysuru on his Government said Modi is unfit to become the prime minister. Modi has called his government as the most corrupt government and ten per cent commission Government.
