Mayur Desai, son-in-law of former Gujarat CM Keshubhai Patel, was arrested in Ahmedabad for rash driving. Desai’s speeding SUV rammed into a bike injuring two persons.
According to the investigation officer, after the accident, Desai called ambulance for the seriously injured Rohit Siddhpura and Hiral Thummer. Subsequently, Desai, who is a gynaecologist, presented himself before the nearest satellite police station. later on he was released on bail.
“Both the victims were admitted in ICU of a private hospital. Their conditions are still critical,” said a source. “A witness has revealed Desai was driving at over 100 kmph,” said the investigation officer.
