Kerala is all set to witness a unique battle between the Governor and the Left Democratic Front Government in the State as Arif Mohammed Khan on Monday morning ridiculed the inefficiency of the administration to take on him legally. “I never knew the State administration was incompetent to the core.

“They have sought the advice of a constitutional expert in New Delhi by paying a consultation fee of `45 lakh to find ways and means to oust me,” the Governor told media persons at Ernakulam on

Monday.

He was referring to media reports which said that the Kerala Government has sought the services of Supreme Court’s veteran lawyer Fali S Nariman by paying a consultation fee of `45 lakh to tame him

legally.

Interestingly, Monday is the last day the Kerala High Court has given to the eight vice-chancellors of the State to give their replies to the show cause notices issued to them by the Governor asking them why their services should not be terminated in the backdrop of the October 21 Supreme Court verdict disqualifying the vice chancellor of the Kerala Technical University from holding office.

“Let me go through the replies sent by them and then I’ll let you know what is the next course of action,” said the Governor.
