After his wholesome praise for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s project “Swachchh Bharat” and direction to the district and municipal officials to take up the programme to make “Swachchh Telangana” a reality, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has flown to New Delhi to discuss various pending projects and issues with the Centre.
His sudden liking for Modi’s ideas and project has set in motion the speculation that his Telangana Rashtra Samiti party is tilting towards the BJP and is likely to join the NDA Government at the Centre.
But the State BJP leaders were not impressed by these gestures and have stepped up their attacks on the TRS Government. Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday ruled out the possibility of TRS joining the NDA Government and dismissed the whole idea as the media’s imagination.
During his two-day stay in New Delhi, KCR will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discuss various issues. This is the second visit of KCR to the National capital in a fortnight.
