After advocating for the Congress in Delhi, now the “Karwaan-e-Bedari” (Caravan of Awareness) — carried out Muslim intellectuals and led by noted film director Mahesh Bhatt and film actor Ravi Kissen — will enter the State on Saturday for campaigning in fifth phase of lok Sabha elections.
It may be recalled that Aligarh based Millat Bedari Muhim Committee (MBMC) is campaigning in Muslim dominated constituencies in support of Congress. It has already campaigned at several places where polling was held on April 10. The Karwaan will now campaign Rampur, Bareilly and Aonla on April 12 where polling is scheduled for April 17.
Mahesh Bhatt said: “We have historical relations with Congress and its core ideology secularism can check the rising tide of communalism in country so it is our duty to bring Congress in power again.
