2030KaBharat will organise Jeevandata Parivar Samman 2026 on November 28 to honour families who have donated the organs or tissues of their loved ones. The initiative will also felicitate awareness champions and healthcare professionals who play a crucial role in the donation and transplantation process.
The awards will be presented in three categories. Jeevandata Parivar Samman will recognise families who consented to organ or tissue donation after the death of a loved one. Jeevan Prerna Samman will honour individuals and families working to spread awareness, dispel misconceptions and encourage more people to support the cause. Jeevan Sarathi Samman will acknowledge doctors, surgeons, transplant coordinators, counsellors and healthcare teams instrumental in facilitating donation and transplantation.
Dr Atul Malikram, founder of 2030KaBharat, said, “Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult experiences a family can go through. Yet, families who choose to save other lives even in such moments of grief demonstrate the highest form of humanity. Through this initiative, we want to recognise not just their decision but also the courage, compassion and selflessness behind it.”
He added that the stories of donor families could inspire more people to have open conversations about organ donation and make informed decisions when the time comes. “Giving someone the gift of life, even after one’s own journey has ended, is among the greatest acts of human service,” he said.
