PNS
The JD(U) on Thursday revealed that the BJP was trying to woo the voters of Bihar by bribing them and in its efforts the party is getting help from a group of Gujarat-based businessmen.JD(U) leader and spokesman KC Tyagi said around 100 Gujarati businessmen have been given the responsibility to ensure the collection and distribution of 20 lakh sarees for Bihar elections by the co-convener of Bihar election CR Patil.
The JD(U) leaders are going to meet the Chief Election Commissioner on Friday to lodge a formal complain. Tyagi also showed the packets containing the sarees. The packets have a map of Bihar in saffron colour printed and an inscription of NaMo saree.Tyagi claimed that according to a version of mill owners, each saree costs `500 to `1,500 and the total estimate of these consignments is about `200 crore. “There should be no surprise on the fact that the coming Bihar election may be the costliest. The Prime Minister’s Bihar visit has also become controversial as the name of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar will go missing from the inaugural plaques of the projects being inaugurated by the PM. It will be for the first time that the native CM’s name will not be used for the inaugural function,” said Tyagi.
