Indian High Commissioner Ajay Bisaria, on Tuesday met Pakistan's National Security Adviser, lt Gen (Rtd) Naseer Khan Janjua, in Islamabad.
While sources said that it was a courtesy visit as the envoys call regularly on dignitaries of the host country, it is believed that the two sides discussed ways to improve ties.
The NSA of the two countries were instrumental in resolving the latest diplomatic tussle between the two sides of harassments and intimidation.
"This was a meeting scheduled a week earlier. The Indian High Commissioner sensitized the Pak NSA on issues of India's concern. Constructive discussions took place on improving the bilateral relationship", sources said.
