Women no longer need to work full-time from an office to build a career in the insurance sector. They can earn an income by working according to their own convenience, while also fulfilling their family responsibilities. ICICI Life Insurance has announced plans to onboard 20,000 new female advisors by the end of the 2027 financial year. Amish Banker, Chief Distribution Officer at ICICI Life Insurance Limited, stated, “that female advisors play a crucial role in understanding customers’ needs, providing them with the right insurance solutions, and building a relationship of trust with them.”
This announcement was made as the company’s ‘Nari Shakti’ initiative completed two years. By September 30, 2026, more than 78,000 women advisors had joined the company.
They account for 45 percent of the company’s agency business. In regions such as Bengaluru, Kerala, and Mumbai, this contribution exceeds 50 per cent.
