While the Mumbai Police is still trying to record actress Preity Zinta’s statement on the case filed by her against former boyfriend Ness Wadia, Indian Premier league’s COO Sundar Raman’s has reportedly denied his presence at the Bangalore auction. Zinta claimed that Raman intervened after she had an altercation with Wadia at the auction.

“I was not present at the Bangalore auction. I did not even know about the tiff till media reported. I have no role at all,” Raman told a TV channel. The statement came after Zinta’s lawyer said that it will be wrong to call her case as that of “sexual molestation.” Raman’s comment can further dilute the charges made against Wadia by the actress.

Reportedly, the police will also approach the minor son of a legendary cricketer who was sitting in the same Wankhede enclosure where Wadia allegedly abused Zinta during an IPl match.Meanwhile, Mumbai Police has asked the King XI Punjab COO Frazer Castelino also to record his statement in the case. According to the sources, police have asked Zinta’s lawyer to call the actress and record her statement as well. She has been asked to appear in person and record her statement in the next one week.

Police will also examine the CCTV footage from 5 cameras located in the stadium where the alleged altercation took place. They are also likely to examine Preity’s email exchanges with Ness Wadia to ascertain whether they had any heated exchanges in the past.

“We wrote a letter addressed to Preity Zinta and handed it over to her lawyer Hitesh Jain asking the actress to be present before us within three days or latest by this weekend,” an IPS officer privy to the investigation said.“We have learnt that Zinta is not in India and hence, we gave the letter to her lawyer,”he said.
