Headless bodies of two more girls were recovered in polythene bags in Rai Bareli and Gorakpur respectively on Monday evening.

The killings were similar to ones reported in lucknow and Mau, in which the victims were killed and their bodies were cut into pieces and dumped by the killers to conceal the crime. Though lucknow police claimed to have arrested the killer and also worked out the case but the family members still raised doubt over the police theory. In Mau case, the cops are still groping in dark about the killers.

In the fresh case reported from Rai Bareli district, a head-less body of a teenage girl cut in several pieces was recovered inside a black coloured polythene bag on Tuesday morning. One Preetam Singh, manager of Accord Hydro Air Private limiter, who saw the polythene lying in garbage dump near Organic Urea Plant in Mill Area, informed the local police about the incident. The cops could not recover the head of the girl which posed a problem for them to maintain identity of the victim. The cops suspected that the accused might be known to the victim hence they seems to have sexually assaulted the girl, killed her and later cut her body into pieces and after putting it in polythene bags for easy disposal, they threw it in the garbage. The cops registered a case against unknown person and were trying to maintain identity of the girl before heading with the probe.

In another case, a headless body of a girl was found also inside a black colour polythene bag, abandoned in general coach of Chauri-Chaura Express going from Kanpur to Gorakhpur.         PNS

The polythene was recovered in Gorakhpur after which some passengers reported the matter to the cops of the Government Railway Police (GRP) Station. In this case also, the cops suspected that the killing would have taken place somewhere else, probably after sexual assault but to conceal the identity of the victim, the body was cut in pieces for easy disposal and head was chopped-off by the killers. The body was now sent for post-mortem examination.

Meanwhile, bodies of two more girls were found hanging with trees under mysterious circumstances. In the first case reported from Bulandshahr, the body of a 17-year-old girl, who was missing since last Sunday, was found hanging from a tree in the outskirts of Aroli village on Tuesday morning. She was suspected to be strangulated after rape. Reports said that the deceased, a resident of Aroli village, was missing since Sunday and a report in this regard was lodged by her father expressing fear that she has been kidnapped by one neighbour Manoj (20).  Prima facie it appears a case of rape followed by strangulation, the local police claimed, adding that the body has been sent for postmortem. The accused and his family members are reportedly absconding since the recovery of the body.

In another case reported from Faizabad, the body of 22-year-old Bhagwati, a resident of Thesipar area in Tarun police station, was found hanging with a tree in Inyatnagar area of the district on Tuesday morning. She was also missing since last three days. The girl was reportedly having an affair with a local youth and her family members suspected his hand behind the killing. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
