Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Thursday said that he was all for ‘human rights' of gays. “It is the government's jobs to protect the rights of the gay community. Everybody, including gays, has human rights,” he said on the sidelines of an event here. The Union Minister, however, declined to make further comments when asked to explain his position as his party, BJP, had supported the Supreme Court judgment which had upheld the validity of Section 377 of IPC, criminalising sex among homosexuals.
