A woman delivered conjoined twins in a local hospital in Ghaziabad town. The woman delivered the children at 5.30 pm on Wednesday. Dr. Keshav Tyagi the director of Anand Hospital said that the woman Preeti (31) wife of Pradeep was admitted on Tuesday. An ultrasound revealed conjoined twins in her womb. An operation was conducted for the safe delivery of the children. The hospital surgeon Dr. Manju Tyagi who performed the operation said, “The children were cheerful but could not survive long. They breathed last at round 8 pm.
A resident of Preet Vihar colony Preeti is the wife of an ex-service man employed with a private company. The mother is being kept in the hospital for post-surgery recovery and is cheerful, Dr Tyagi added. The hospital has deputed private security guards in view of a rush of the curious onlookers who are coming in droves to have a look at the conjoined twins, said Dr Keshav Tyagi.
