In order to encourage textile industry in the State and create new capacity for spinning, the Gujarat Government declared a fresh textile policy. As part of the process for the new policy, Modi Government issued a notification on Friday.
The State Government aims for installation of 20 lakh spindles in next five years to enhance production capacity of textile in Gujarat, said Government spokesman Nitin Patel.
According to him spinning and weaving units will get subsidy on electricity and loans at reduced interest rates. The fresh policy offers something or other for all the aspects of textile related activities that include ginning and pressing, knitting, dyeing and processing, spinning, weaving, garment, machine embroidery among other.
