The Gujarat Government is coordinating with the Centre and airport authorities to facilitate return of Gujaratis stuck in quake-hit Nepal and has made arrangements for their stay in the national Capital.
Its Resident Commissioner’s office is coordinating with the Ministry of External Affairs and Indian Embassy in Kathmandu and also working with airport authorities for in- bound passengers, official sources said today.
“Officials are at the airport round the clock. At Gujarat Bhawan, our control room numbers are 011-46278700 and 46273200,” sources said.
Though people mostly are preferring to go directly to Gujarat from the airport but 13 people spent the last night at Gujarat Bhawan in Delhi, he said. The Government has made arrangements for their stay at Gujarat Bhawan and Gujarati Samaj here.
“The Resident Commissioner office is also in touch with the Ministry of Home Affairs for any help in other States where Gujaratis need help.”
