Five saints visit Kairana, say big conspiracy to disturb peace

PNS

A five-member committee of Hindu saints which was sent to Kairana by the ruling SP on a fact finding mission submitted their findings to the Chief Minister on Thursday.

While the saints remained tightlipped before the media, they hinted at a big conspiracy to disturb communal harmony in UP.

"There was a dangerous conspiracy to create communal divide and to disturb peace in the State through the Kairana exodus issue,” a committee member disclosed. The team also demanded action against the guilty involved in the conspiracy.

The committee comprising Acharya Pramod Krishnan, Swami Kalyan Dev, Swami Chinmayanand and Swami Chakrapani of Hindu Mahasabha visited Kairana last Sunday to review the situation and verify the allegations of large scale exodus of Hindu families. The team was set up by PWD Minister Shivpal Singh Yadav.

Meanwhile, the much-awaited judicial probe into the Mathura violence of June 2 by Justice (Retd) Imtiaz Murtaza would commence from Saturday.

The one-member team would visit Jawahar Bagh at Mathura and meet eye witness on June 25 and 26 before recording statements of officials posted there and engaged in the operation. The team has been asked to submit its findings in two months.
