Farmer leaders here on Friday led a farmer curfew in protest against the Central Government’s Farm Bills. The demonstration was proposed in Tappal, Akarabad, Iglas, Atrauli, Pisawa. Farmers did chakka jam sitting on the streets. The district administration and police were completely on alert.
The anger against the Agriculture Bill is not ending. On one side, the farmers are raising objections, on the other hand the Opposition is protesting.
On Friday, farmers came on the road from all over the district.
In Iglas, the peasants marched on foot, which was stopped by the police.During this time, farmers also got angry with the police.
In Gabhana, activists of the Indian Farmers Organisation blocked the highway for about 15 minutes. Later the SDM opened the jam by handing the memorandum to the President.
