Former BSP Rajya Sabha member Narendra Kashyap along with his wife and son was held guilty by the local court of ADJ (1st) Shashi Bhushan Pandey in the death case of his daughter-in-law in April 6, 2016.
Earlier a criminal case was registered against BSP Rajya Sabha member Narendra Kashyap and his other family members for killing the daughter in law for dowry.

Himani was shot dead for the greed of dowry. The family was demanding a Fortuner SUV vehicle since the solemnisation of wedding.
