The email of a woman assistant professor of Delhi University was hacked and defamatory mails using her photographs were sent to senior professors of her college.
The professor, who teaches on ad-hoc basis in the English department of Ram lal Anand College approached the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Delhi and on the basis of her complaint, a case was registered. Prima facie it seems to be an act of some students of the college and investigators will grill some of the college students in coming days.
The victim told the police that a few days back, some of her colleagues informed about these defamatory mails apparently sent from her email ID. “She was shocked after seeing all these mails and informed the local police station, but investigation revealed that her email had been hacked.
