The city police arrested one Jivan Choudhary, a driver of BMW car, for allegedly behaving obscenely and masturbating before noted Marathi actress Chinmayee Surve-Raghavan at Vile Parle in north-west Mumbai on Monday afternoon.
Acting on a complaint lodged Chinmayee’s television actor-husband Sumeet Raghavan, the Vile Parle police arrested Choudhary and booked him under section 354 (Assault of criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of IPC.
The shocking incident took place near Parle Tilak School at Vile Parle (East) sometime early in the afternoon. After examining the footage from CCTV obtained from the locality and bare registration number of the vehicle provided by the actress’ husband Sumeet, the police tracked down the culprits within the next five to six hours.
Earlier in the afternoon, Sumeet had tweeted: “A white BMW with last 4 digits 1985 needs to be traced. The driver wearing a grey safari who had parked near #ParleTilakSchool #VileParleEast started masturbating in front of my wife. Before she couldslap him he escaped. She could note down just the last 4 digits@MumbaiPolice”
A noted theatre and television actress, Chinmayee is known for her role in serial “laagi Tujhse lagan.”Her husband Sumeet Raghavan is a seasoned television actor.
