BINOD PRASAD

Meetings between Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and Booth Level Agents (BLAs-2) were organised at all polling stations across the 72-Lohardaga Assembly constituency on Wednesday to review electoral roll-related activities and ensure that all eligible citizens are included in the voter lists.

BLOs, BLAs-2, voters, members of Electoral Literacy Clubs (Chunav Pathshalas) and local residents participated in the meetings held across the district.

Following the directions of District Election Officer Sandeep Kumar Meena, Deputy Election Officer Sanjay Kumar inspected polling stations 335, 336, 337 and 338. He reviewed voter registration and verification activities with BLOs and BLAs-2 and interacted with residents to gather feedback on the ongoing exercise.

After the meetings, Sanjay Kumar conducted a door-to-door verification drive in the area covered by polling station 335. He visited six consecutive households to check whether any eligible family member had been left out of the electoral rolls. The exercise found that all eligible citizens in the six households were already registered as voters.

The Deputy Election Officer also announced a special #DownloadECINet social media campaign on November 5, from noon to 1 pm, following directions from the Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand.

He appealed to young people and other citizens to download the Election Commission of India's ECI Net mobile application from the Google Play Store and share screenshots of the downloaded app on X, Facebook and Instagram using the designated hashtag.

The campaign aims to familiarise more citizens with the Election Commission's digital services and promote awareness about the ECI Net application.
