Despite being snubbed by the party, Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh is firm on his view that two power centres has not worked well and Rahul Gandhi should avoid nominating someone as the PM. “Whatever I have said is on record and, therefore, I stand by it,” Singh said.
However, he also accepted the official stand of the party saying, “But the views of the Congress spokesperson and Congress party are supreme for me. So I would abide by that.” Meanwhile, Congress spokesman PC Chacko said that decision about who would be PM will be taken collectively by Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul and Manmohan Singh.
