In yet another bid to find a solution to vexatious Telangana issue, newly appointed Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh met the leaders of all the three regions of the State and heard the divergent and conflicting opinions.

Once again it was obvious that the ruling party was badly divided on the regional lines, and finding an amicable solution remained a daunting task.

Digvijay Singh, who was recently appointed as  in charge of AP affairs, heard the opinions of both Telangana and Andhra-Rayalaseema region leaders separately. later speaking at the meeting of the State Congress executive committee Digvijay Singh said that center was undertaking a serious exercise on the issue of finding a solution to Telangana problem.

“Every body should abide by the decision of the party high command”, was his clear advice to the party men.

The Telangana Congress leaders, who handed him over the resolution adopted at Sunday’s public meeting calling for separate State, quoted Digvijay Singh as saying that the Centre was seriously thinking of formation of Telangana State.
